  • Meet with senior engineers about ongoing coastal issues
  • January Council meeting in Ennis where i brought the notice of motion asking that ‘In light of the recent successful application for Cooraclare and Broadford under “Measure A8 – Waste Water Collection and Treatment needs for Villages and Settlements without access to Public Waste Water Services” that Clare County Council now undertake an assessment of what is required to ensure the next tier of un-sewered small towns and villages in the countyare ready to avail of the scheme in the future.

  • Attended the Remembrance Ceremony and unveiling of memorial sculpture for the deceased infants and children who died in the Clare County Nursery

  • Discussion with CCC vacancy officer around a number of vacant properties in West Clare settlements
  • Attended May Regional Health Forum meeting where i requested details of all GPs registered with the HSE, a breakdown of the classifications of patients responded to by the ambulance service and the attendance of those at UHL ED, and an update on where the new Pathfinder program will be rolled out to first.   • Meeting with senior area engineer with regards to item at Kilkee, Carrigaholt, Whitestrand Doonbeg, Quilty and Seafield

  • Discussion with CCC age friendly officer with regards to the delivery of walkability study in Kilkee
  • Discussion with environment and traffic enforcement with regards to management of motorhomes illegally parking in fragile environment sites
  • Catching up on paperwork for Kilkee Waterworld

  • Meeting with Senior Executive Engineer of the West Clare MD to discuss various projects across the area, including Carrigaholt, Quilty, Seafield and Kilkee and to discuss progress on a meeting with off shore renewable energy companies
  • Meeting with local parish priest to discuss provision of EV car charging at some parish sites

  • Attended a local twinning event as Cathaoirleach of the West Clare MD

  • Meeting with KEDCO directors with regards to branded items and merchandise for new Kilkee branding
  • CCC Monthly May meeting where headed a joint Notice of Motion (Item 25) “To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to consider including a member of the executive from Clare County Council, Limerick City & County Council and Kerry County Council to represent community and environmental interests on the Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce.”

  • Meeting with Querrin Pier and Village Development Assoc for an update on progress of scholastic’s redevelopment and assistance required.

  • Attended May meeting of the West Clare MD where i brought a number of Notice of Motions; The provision of Eircodes at ring buoy boxes of nearest defib units; details of the condition of the Strand Line wall in Kilkee; details of the coastal protection measures required at Quilty and Seafield.
