  • Meeting of the LCDC finance sub-committee to evaluate the Community Enhancement Program grant applications
  • Regional Health Forum meeting in Galway where i asked the following questions;
  1. Can I be provided, in tabular form for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, with the number of attendees through each of the MAUs in all of the hospitals providing such service across this regional health forum

  2. Can I be provided with a breakdown, in tabular form for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, of the number of attendees through the EDs in all of the hospitals providing such service across this regional health forum

  3. I understand a new system to assess attendees to the ED in UHL is being rolled out through an on-site GP service. Can I be provided with the details of how this service will operate?

  4. In light of the continuing overcrowding at UHL, can I be provided with the details of any plans the management have to provide access to labs, scans and consultants on a 7 day week basis.

  • March Council meeting in Ennis where i brought the following NOM
  • “With regard to the implementation of Shannon Estuary Economic Task Force report, that Clare County Council undertake a) an assessment of the specific opportunities it presents to the people of Clare, b) the skills involved and numbers of personnel that may be required in its implementation here in Clare, c) an assessment of the housing need within the proximate Municipal Districts to support that implementation and d) an assessment of the quantity of zoned land in those MDs to determine whether we have capacity to ensure these opportunities provide the maximum benefits at the most local level.

  • Dealt with a number of constituency issues from the weekend
  • West Clare MD meeting where i brought the below notices of motion
  1. That an assessment of the speed limit be undertaken on the N67 at the Miltown Rd entry to Kilkee and a driver feedback sign be installed. The speed at which vehicles drive into Kilkee on this residential section of road is frightening.

  2. That remedial works be undertaken on the road and footpaths at West Street in Carrigaholt to rectify the         uneven surfaces on both that are causing significant issues for local community members, especially older persons.

  3. That a series of pull in locations be developed in the L-6052-0 and the L-6052-15 Road at Tarmon East .
